Anne is a full-time craft artist who has been making corn shuck dolls since 1975. She is devoted to the creative process of alchemy; transforming raw, natural materials into new forms. Anne’s dolls represent her imaginative notions of folklore, legend, myth, and divine earthly and celestial entities,
as well as traditional Appalachian themes. She teaches workshops and is the author of "Making Colorful Corn Shuck Dolls.” In addition to her corn shuck artistry, Anne also produces her own line of natural skin care products, Annie Egypt Herbals. Her products “won’t make you beautiful; they will keep you beautiful!”

I create dynamic abstract paintings on dimensional shaped panels. Each piece I create is the result of an inquiry, addressing different aspects of art, math, science, and craft. Equally inspired by the beauty found in nature and the beauty found in science and innovation, these inquiries have led me to delve into the mathematical structure of flowers,
to explore the planets and stars and our relationship to them through science and mythology, and to investigate the effect of geometric patterns on our visual perception and the role memory plays in that process. This approach to making my work has resulted in my own innovations in woodworking, prismatic photography, and even to contributing a new formula to the field of mathematics. Ultimately, through my work I seek to deepen my understanding of the world and my place in it and to encourage my viewers to do the same for themselves.
Right Hemisphere Art
I hope to create art that makes you feel good! I am a sculptor and painter working in clay, mixed media, oils, acrylics, and watercolor. I sculpt mainly with clay, often in combination with found objects and other materials. Each piece is unique and a labor of love.
Cool Pools Series can also be purchased in my Etsy shop: righthemisphereart.etsy.com.
Fine Art Photography
The most recent decade has been a photographic rebirth for me and I now see myself engaged in a continual search for beauty in the hidden recesses of nature. Hopefully, I will be aided in this search by the many wonderful photographers who have preceded me in this journey and whose thoughts and images illuminate my path.
Mandy Lynn Carris is a photographer, found object arranger, part-time painter & plant art creator.
I have been working with wood since 1972, when I studied architectural restoration in Dayton, Ohio, with a master woodworker from Italy. I worked in millwork, furniture and cabinetmaking before going into partnership with Akira Blount, my late wife, in 1991. Now I make wood-turned “skirts,” in addition to other contributions.
Abstract Art That Inspires
Lauren Kelley is an abstract artist working primarily in acrylic, watercolor, and mixed-media. She is fascinated by color and light, and hopes that others will feel joy and be encouraged when viewing her work.
Inspired Adornment
My passion is creating effortlessly wearable jewelry that contrasts, harmonizes, and elevates the rustic and the refined. From simple elegance to bohemian chic, earthy leather, Irish linen, and spun silk cords blend artfully well with stone and pearl, offering a timeless and understated look that appeals across age, gender, culture, and style.
I graduated from University of Tennessee with a BFA in 1976 😬 where I was instructed by several professors associated with the Knoxville 7 which influenced some of my work. I focus on color and try to use it in all mediums. I work in oil, alcohol ink and clay.
